Q. What is Debt Arbitration & Settlement?

A. Many people and businesses have difficulties in paying their debt on time. Debt Settlement is an aggressive approach to credit card debt reduction. It is most appropriate for consumers who are continually struggling with their basic financial obligations and owe at least $10,000 in unsecured debts. These consumers are under considerable financial strain, and are considering bankruptcy as a viable alternative. The process through which a debt settlement service is able to reduce the unsecured debts owed is called “debt arbitration or negotiation”.You as a Certified Debt Arbitrator will save the debtor up to 90% of his / her debt by using the Arbitrain™ system and methods of negotiation and arbitration, reaching settlement with the creditor/collector.

Q. Who should register for the IAPDA Certified Debt Arbitrator or Certified Debt Specialist program ?

 

A. Business persons starting in the debt settlement industry who will interact with consumer debt clients on debt & credit issues and/or negotiate with creditors and collectors to reach a professional settlement of a client's problem debt. Certified Debt Arbitrator training is suited to independent debt professionals just starting out and Certified Debt Specialist training is ideal for all debt settlement company settlement and customer service staff.

 

 

Q. How long does it take to complete the training program ?

 

A. The training course is completed entirely at your own pace, you will receive access to the materials at a password protected website and you have unlimited access for lifetime. Most members take 2 - 3 weeks working part time to complete the training and submit their certification exam but it can be completed much faster if desired.

 

Q. Do I need licensing from a Government Agency ?

 

A. Currently licensing is not required in most States or Provinces*, the Uniform Debt-Management Services Act (UDMSA) is under consideration in a number of state legislatures and proposed for enactment in all 50 States.

 

Many years in advance of legislation we established the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators (IAPDA) for Arbitrain™ trained individuals. Those who successfully complete our program are granted membership in the IAPDA, adhere to our Code of Ethics and are granted the professional Certified Debt Specialist (CDS) or Certified Debt Arbitrator (CDA) designation.

 

Our Certification training program content complies with the accreditation training requirements set out in the new Uniform Debt-Management Services Act (UDMSA) - the proposed legistlation governing the Debt Settlement Industry in all 50 States.

 

*Note: Our members operate in all 50 States and 10 Provinces. Currently only 6 States have specific requirements for legal compliance. We provide our members with access to the most up to date information available regarding legal compliance in all 50 States and 10 Provinces.


Q. Is there a market for this service ?

A. There are literally millions of debtors out there who need help. There is a large demand for Certified Debt Arbitrators and Certified Debt Specialists. Creditors have Collection Agencies and Lawyers on their side. The one the debtor has is a Certified Debt Professional, a skilled and trained, arbitrator/negotiator.

Q. Is there a lot of competition ?

A. There are still relatively very few Debt Arbitration firms presently operating in North America. There is tremendous demand for the service in cities of all sizes. After joining the IAPDA and learning the Arbitrain™ system you will realize that you will never run out of business.

Q. How much do I earn as a self employed Certified Debt Arbitrator ?

A. The average total case fees (account setup fee, monthly admin. fees & % of total debts registered in the program or % of the savings realized on settlement of each debt account) is between $1500 - $2000 per case. However you can realize fees of $5000 per case. The industry average once you're established is 1 – 2 new cases per week per Certified Debt Arbitrator. Of course, this is up to each persons efforts, ambition, and desire for higher income. Income of $5,000 - $10,000 per month is definitely attainable per individual. Most individuals will earn $2,500 per month on a part time basis dedicating 8-10 hours per week. Others working their Debt Arbitration business full time typically earn an average of $8,000 - $10,000 per month and many earn well in excess of $10,000 per month consistently.

Q. How long before I get my first fee ?

A. Debt Arbitration is NOT a get rich quick venture, but you do get paid a setup fee from each new client, monthly administration fees from each client and/or a % of savings fee at the conclusion of every case. Settlement can be within a few days in some cases but is normally 30-90 days. Most are earning consistent fees within 1 - 2 months, building to average potential within 3 - 6 months.



Q. How do I get my clients ?

A. You will learn this from the Arbitrain™ system. The Training will show you more than Eight (8) separate ways to attract clients, proven methods that are used everyday by Debt Arbitration Firms in all parts of North America. You will not ever need to solicit friends or family for business, clients will seek out your services.

Q. Why will my service be needed ?

A. The debtor must act sooner rather than later, otherwise they may find themselves in lengthy, costly and stressful lawsuits. A Certified Debt Arbitrator and Certified Debt Specialist provides a simple, cost effective solution for the debtor.

A. Good question! Not everyone is cut out to run their own business.
