Our members with both Certified Debt Specialist (CDS) and Certified Credit Counseling Specialist (CCCS) designations (dual certifications) now have the professional knowledge and skills to advise clients and potential clients regarding all debt relief options available including: Debt Settlement, Credit Counseling, Debt Management Plans and Bankruptcy.
IAPDA members with current Certified Debt Specialist (CDS) accreditation can (currently at no cost) complete two specific Credit Counseling training modules and submit the certification exam for the additional designation of Certified Credit Counseling Specialist (CCCS).
Members who successfully complete this further training and certification will have two certified designations, Certified Debt Specialist (CDS) and Certified Credit Counseling Specialist (CCCS). The benefits of having these two designations when advising clients and potential clients are obvious for IAPDA members. Members with both designations have the knowledge and skills to advise clients and potential clients regarding all debt relief options available, Debt Settlement, Credit Counseling, Debt Management Plans and Bankruptcy.
IAPDA Certified Credit Counseling Specialist (CCCS) training consists of two (2) additional training modules (in addition to CDS training modules) and a further CCCS Certification exam based on these two modules.

Important Note: Prior successful completion (and current status) of the Certified Debt Specialist (CDS) training program is a pre-requisite. Members with lapsed Certified Debt Specialist (CDS) accreditation do not immediately qualify and must complete their continuing education and re-certify as a Certified Debt Specialist (CDS) before approval for the CCCS training and certification program.
